I became extremely sick—to the point where I couldn’t even walk. It was so bad that I became convinced I’d be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I felt myself slipping into depression. When I was discharged from the hospital into Williamsbridge Center, I was convinced I might never get home again. But the staff at the Center immediately put me at my ease. They introduced themselves, asked questions, and asked me my goals. When I said I want to walk again and go back home, they said, “Okay, let’s do it!” They were highly professional, but also so friendly. And great communicators. They put together an individualized plan based on my conditions, my needs and my goals. Then we got down to business. The therapy was amazing. The activities—the music and parties—were fantastic. The food was delicious. And before I knew it I was back on my feet. Williamsbridge Center is a great community that got me back into my community—back home!

I had a hip replacement, and the surprising thing to me was how depressed it made me. Being immobilized like that, unable to get around on my own—it set me back physically and mentally. Checking into Williamsbridge Center turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Everyone there was so kind to me—and respectful. They recognized immediately that not only did my hip need rehabbing, but so did my emotional state. The therapy was excellent. The therapists pushed me hard, which was exactly what I needed. Even my family noticed the change—they were happy that I was I was happy. The key to me is that they treated me holistically. Of course the healthcare and therapy were great, but so were the activities, the accommodations, and the food. My anxiety and depression just melted away. When I left, I was stronger than ever, but I had grown to love the Williamsbridge Center team. It had become my second family.

After taking a fall, I was very weak. I needed help getting back on my feet after my accident. My doctors said I had hypertension. The staff at Williamsbridge Center was so accommodating. They were attentive to all my needs, and I knew I was in good hands. Thank you to my therapists Jessie and Sarah; you were excellent. Thank you, Williamsbridge Center, for helping me. I am now fully recovered after a quick two-week stay. I couldn’t have done it without you.
